Disco-Era Wine & Beyond

At the recent BV Vintage Wine Tasting Event, I couldn’t believe how much I absorbed, and I’m not talking just about wine to my bloodstream! Never before had I thought I would have the opportunity to taste a vintage beyond 12 years in age.

This is because I am just about the only person I know who collects and saves bottles of wine (most people around me just buy and drink)!  The oldest bottle I posses is a ’97 California Cab. So, you can imagine my sheer and utter delight when I realized that a ’75 Georges de Latour Cab was on the list of wines to taste. What an opportunity!

Over the course of the next few days I will review the various wines that I had the priveledge of tasting, and will share with you some of my learnings, starting with the oldest first. Stay tuned!
