My Wine Cooler: Cracked Glass

Cracked Glass: wine cooler

A Wineless Winter Story

‘Twas a month before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a sound could be heard, but a bone in doggie’s mouth;
When out from the kitchen arose a loud clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter;
Straight to the wine cooler I flew in a flash,
Only to see all the cracked glass!
The sparkle and crackle of glass in the door,
Created a wonderful melody my ears did not adore;
When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
no more bottles of wine, the window was no longer clear :(

Let this be a lesson to all you fine wine lovers,
Ignoring your bottles will cause nothing but trouble!
I think I know what I want for Christmas now,
A door that is in tact, stable and sound!

I haven’t had a sip of wine since I discovered my pregnancy, back in August. It is my personal belief that my precious wine cooler, which until recently has taken good care of me and my goods, is now sharp and cold, furious with the recent silent treatment it has been given. As a result, the door has burst into a brilliant mosaic of broken, yet in-tact bits of glass that honestly makes me quite nervous to open. The good news is that I can have the window replaced, rather than the entire wine cooler, and was quoted $140. Not really what I was hoping to spend my moola on right now, but very much worth the cost, since there is no way I can drink all this wine before summer (or spring)!
