I was recently introduced to a series of videos from Robert Mondavi Private Selection that I was quite surprised about as they feature a ridiculous character, Bert Merlott. Designed to contradict snobbery, a huge wine stereotype associated with the classic wine brands, these videos are extremely silly and unexpected. I found the concept somewhat refreshing – it’s nice to see the industry having some fun in their marketing efforts. Here’s my favorite one – the wine pairing video – they could make a campaign out of pairings alone.
