Some of you may be familiar with my cork collection – I have A LOT of corks (a lot). And the truth is that corks really don’t get enough credit. They are part of wine culture itself. It’s the entire ritual of opening a bottle of wine, including the placement of the corkscrew, and the subtle popping sound of the cork, that I appreciate and find entertaining. So every time I open a new bottle, I take a moment to check out the cork. Many are similar design-wise, but this one in particular struck me. It’s from a red wine blend called ‘Dark Horse’ – very cool.
